Unlimited Potential brings you the One Laptop Per Child Test-athon

Bring your kids and come and check out and test the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) laptops at the Southern Cross Bar and Grill.

It’s great opportunity to meet other UP members and their families as well as new expat members who have joined us from the Wellies network.

One Laptop Per Child volunteers will be on hand to show you how the laptops and the Sugar user interface works and the various educational games and activities on the operating system.  Volunteers will also be available to help you install the Sugar user interface on your own laptop.  It’ll be a great day for kids and adults alike, and you could have brunch at the Southern Cross all at the same time!

There will be some prizes on the day including a free brunch some free coffees to give away.  Southern Cross are also sponsoring the event with two vouchers for use at their restaurant.  The organisers of linux.conf.au 2010 have given us some cuddly 'tuzzies' to be part of the prize draw.  Plus you could be in the chance to win a USB stick loaded with Sugar courtesy of OLPC, UP and EDS.

It’ll be a great day for kids and adults alike, and you can have brunch at the Southern Cross at the same time!
