For those of you who missed it, there is a review of the UP Careers 2007 event in the News and Reviews section of the website.
It was a neat evening, though maybe it is a little disappointing that nobody was really arguing for a career as a contractor (though there seemed t be a few in the audience).

I agree a little more debate would of been good.
It comes down to how people define a "career". I believe contractors can have "careers" as have seen many of them move from contract to contract advancing themselves when it comes to their skill-set, hourly rate and position.

It inspired me so much that I went for a permanent role - got my speil all sorted... but those contract jobs are just so much easier to get..... and you can take lots of time off...
